How this valuation calculator works
SDE (seller's discretionary earnings) adds back owner pay, perks, interest, and depreciation. EBITDA then subtracts a replacement owner salary so a buyer can see the shop as a managed business. Multiples start from shop type and move with utilization, customer concentration, machine age, and recurring work. If the iron is worth more than capitalized earnings, the bid floors near equipment FMV plus inventory minus liabilities.
